Part 2 Test of Driving Ability
You can begin your Part 2 Training alongside Part 1!

To become an Approved Driving Instructor you must pass an advanced driving test. This lasts for about 1hr and requires a high standard of driving and manoeuvres. You are also required to take an eyesight test and read a car number plate from 27.5m. |
The test is not just an extra long Driving Test similar to the Learner Driving Test.
Standards are much higher and your driving ability is tested to advanced standard.
At present, the test can be taken in your own car if suitable, or in a Voyager Training Car.

How much training you need to pass Part 2 successfully varies from person to person. Following a two hour assessment and training session, your further training is planned. A variety of roads and manoeuvres are used to develop your driving skills and introduce you to elements of Part 3 Training. You should allow for 10-25hrs training as a guide. |
Training sessions are of 2hrs duration and cost £30 per hour.
Your Test of Driving Ability costs £99.
Remember, you are only allowed three attempts to pass. Sufficient training is important.
